Who runs this website
This website is run by me, Alic Lonsdale. I'm an independent developer in Australia and I publish apps under the name Cylix. I follow the Australian Privacy Principles when I handle personal information.
What the website collects
The website only collects personal information in the ways explained below. I don't sell personal information and I don't use it for advertising.
Contact form and email
The contact form doesn't send anything by itself. It opens your own email app with your message filled in, and nothing is sent until you press send. When you do, I receive your email address and anything you wrote, like your name, the app and topic you picked, and your message. I use this to reply to you and to help with your question. I don't add you to a mailing list and I don't share your details with anyone else.
If you email me directly at support@cylix.dev, I handle your email the same way. Email sent to that address is forwarded to my personal inbox by Cloudflare Email Routing.
Server logs
This website is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like most web hosts, Cloudflare automatically processes some basic information when you visit. This includes your IP address, the type of browser you use, the pages you view and the time of your visit. It's used to deliver the website and protect it from attacks. I don't use it to find out who you are.
Fonts
This website uses the Plus Jakarta Sans font from Google Fonts. When a page loads, your browser connects to Google to download the font. That means Google receives your IP address and some details about your browser. Google says it doesn't use this to build profiles or show ads. You can read Google's privacy policy.
Cookies
This website doesn't use cookies, analytics or advertising trackers.
Where your information is stored
Cloudflare runs a global network, so your visit may be handled by servers outside Australia, including in the United States. Email forwarded by Cloudflare ends up in my personal inbox. Google may also process information outside Australia when it provides fonts.
How long it's kept
I keep messages for as long as I need them to help you. After that I delete them. Cloudflare keeps its own logs for a limited time under its own policies.
Your rights
You can ask me what personal information I hold about you. You can also ask me to correct it or delete it. Email support@cylix.dev and I'll reply within 30 days.
If you're in the EU or UK, you can also object to how your information is used. You can complain to your local data protection authority too.
Complaints
If you have a privacy concern, please contact me first. I'll look into it and reply within 30 days. If you're not happy with my answer, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
App privacy policies
Each app has its own privacy policy that explains what the app uses and why. Read the Kilometa Privacy Policy.
Children
This website isn't made for children under 13. I don't knowingly collect their information.
Changes
I may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last updated.
